Kelah World (M) Sdn Bhd has entered into several MOUs ("Memorandum of Understanding") with selected universities to jointly carry out research on the conservation of kelah.

Universiti Malaysia Terengganu

Kelah World is working hand-in-hand with KUSTEM, now renamed as Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, a local authority for kelah conservation since 2002.

Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Malaysia

A collaboration and joint program in water bio-technology, in support of the 'Clean River Program' advocated by Malaysia's Prime Minister.

Universitas Bung Hatta Indonesia

MoU signed between three parties i.e. Bung Hatta, Kelah World (M) Sdn Bhd and KUSTEM in pursuit of Research and Development for kelah conservation. Student exchange programs has also been initiated.
